Wesleyan Reform Union of Churches

'To encourage and support all women of the church community in their faith and witness'

                                                                                                                                     January 2020

Dear Friends

I hope you have all enjoyed a good Christmas and are looking forward to all that God has in store for you in 2020.  I am writing to let you know what is happening through the year with the Women of Action, and would like to encourage you to come along and meet with us.  It is always a very special and blessed time when women meet together in God's presence.

When we were praying at the AGM in April we felt that it would be right to do one more year of the 'See how they grow' events.  Although the same teaching is used on these mornings together, each event has been different and there has been a lot of positive feedback.  So this year we will be at:

Greenhead Church in Sheffield S35 2TN on Saturday June 6th and

Heath End Church Nuneaton CV10 7JB on Saturday October 10th (date TBC).

There will be worship, teaching, discussion, prayer and of course food. These meetings will run on the same format as before, beginning at 10.30 am and ending with lunch.  Our vision is that ladies in the local areas will be encouraged to attend, and so grow in their relationship with God and also with each other.  Please put the date in your diary if you live near any of the venues, and do bring some friends.

We are very aware of how important it is that we continue to be in prayer for the future of the WA.  We can't just do the same each year because it works, we need to know what God's will is and what He is asking of us as we go forward.   So we are going to meet together to pray at Griffydam Chapel Leicestershire LE67 8HP on Saturday 8th February 10:30 - 12 noon.  We would like to invite all ladies within our churches to join us, this is such an important part of our work as the Women of Action among our union of churches.  Please bring a packed lunch, drinks will be provided.

The Women of Action AGM will be on Saturday 25th April at Coal Aston Church Derbyshire, S18 3AL.  Coffee will be served from 10am, with prayer, teaching and discussion starting at 10:30.  Lunch will be provided, so for catering purposes please let me know how many from your church/circuit will be attending (details below).  The AGM will start after lunch and we aim to finish at about 3:30 pm.  Please find attached the Agenda and minutes from the 2019 AGM.

I am also attaching a copy of the new Women of Action constitution that was revised at last years AGM.  You will notice that there are no restrictions on how many ladies from churches/circuits can attend and vote now.  We feel that this work is for all the women of our union and we want to encourage as many as possible to be a part of it.  Do come along and share in this privilege with us.

We are very grateful for everyone's support and prayers and would ask that you continue to pray with us as we look forward to encouraging more ladies in their walk with God and being able to spread the good news of Jesus.

If you have any thoughts or questions, or would like to host an event in your area then please do contact us (details below).  We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible throughout the year and pray that God will bless you all in all that you do for Him.

Sandra
